Keeping children safe

Last updated 30 July 2026

Nest and Feathers is a platform for families, and the safety of children matters to us more than any feature. Here is how we have built the service around that, and how to raise a concern.

How the platform is designed to be safe.

  • We hold nests (families), not children. We do not create profiles of individual children or store identifying information about them.
  • There is no stranger-to-stranger messaging, and no way for anyone to contact a child through the service.
  • Photos pass through a safety step: a prompt, an optional tool to blur a child's face before uploading (the original never leaves your device), and human review before anything featuring a child appears publicly.
  • We ask families to keep the focus on the places, not on their children. Please do not share a child's full name, school, date of birth or sensitive information, or clear photos of their face. The platform reminds you of this as you post.

Raising a concern.

If something on Nest and Feathers worries you, tell us straight away at hello@nestandfeathers.life, or use the report option next to the content. We take every concern seriously and act quickly.

If a child is at immediate risk of harm, do not wait for us.

Contact the police on 999. You can also contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000, or Childline on 0800 1111.

This is an adult space.

Accounts are for parents and carers aged 18 and over.
